Prime Minister, Ion Chicu, has visited today the Engineering vocational school with dual – type education system after the German model, located in district Straseni and created within the Balti Free Economic Area (ZEL). The Prime Minister has evaluated the study conditions, classrooms equipped with labs and modernised industrial facilities. For 72 pupils which study there, the institution offers a dwelling, scholarship, salary, but also a job to them. "Here is the future. It is the best organisation that ensures a perfect synchronisation in the process of studies, academics and production. Without a solid base of professional training of engineers you can not expect serious investments in this sector. "Such industrial platforms represent a proven solution for rebirth of localities and even regions. This example should be replicated in all districts. We have already had a good start. Our children, after they become engineers, will have the opportunity to work here, which is why we want to develop industrial platforms all over the country," said PM, adding that on it, it will be held discussions with large investors from Moldova, interested in developing such centres. Ion Chicu has also discussed with pupils. They have stated that they are satisfied with the conditions offered by institution. The engineering vocational school within Balti ZEL has the possibility to train about 500 pupils and has concluded contracts for employment of pupils with 17 economic agents in Moldova.
